The Future

I always believed I wanted to be a pediatric nurse growing up.  My mom is a nurse and I just waned to be just like her.  She is the best mom.  She always works, she is always there for us, and just makes everything look really easy.  As I got to college, I got to really thinking about what I want to do in my furture.  The one thing I thought about was will I be satisfied the amount of time I will have with my kids when I become a nurse? I wouldn't.  Even though my mom is a nurse, she has always been there for us, but didn't come to as much stuff as she wanted to because of work.  So I really got to thinking and thought, ya know it's not even me being a nurse that I want to do I just want to be around kids as much as possible.  Being around children is what truly makes me happy.  Having a niece and nephew as made me realize how important children are and how much of a blessing they can be in anyone's life.  So in my second year of college I started working at an afterschool program with Kindergarteners.  So that's when I made the decision to change my major to early childhood education.  As the school year progressed, I became to get closer to one child in the program and it made me interested in special education. One of my main goals in my life was to be the difference in someone's life and this one little boy became the difference in mine and chose my future for me.  Ever since I have figured out my future, I have never been more happy and content with everything I have going for me.
